Global Tree Cafe

The Anonymous Foodie has been away for a while, and for that I apologize. Most of September was spent travelling which was a blast. It also gave me an idea to introduce two new sections on the Blog. You should see them up shortly ( if I get the time to actually put them up that is! )

Right, so back to the review. Sunday brunch with friends or family is a great way to start the day and while I have tried a number of the restaurants in the city I’ve found that with most of them there is a trade off with either the cost of the meal or the quality of the food. The Global Tree Cafe really surprised me by delivering on both fronts.

You can Retweet now!

Given how popular tweeting has become I’ve added an Icon against each post that will allow you to “retweet” any story you find here ( its essentially a widget that connects the story to tweetmeme) . You can also keep track of how many people have tweeted against each post, so get started :)

On a similar note, the Anonymous Foodie does have its own twitter account. So do follow.

How to Make a Mojito

This marks the start of a new section for the Anonymous Foodie, Cocktails and Drinks! A good cocktail is something that is easy to make if you take care otherwise you’ll end up concocting something you’d seriously regret.

I start this series with a personal favourite of mine, the Mojito. The Mojito is a traditional Cuban cocktail which became popular in the United States during the late 1980s, and has since found it’s way across the globe.

New Gallery Up

I spent most of last night going through the pictures in my flickr account and reorganizing it so that the gallery on the anonymous foodie seems a little more intuitive.

They are now classified as follows:

Yes I know! I’m going completely overboard with the Social Media platforms but what the hell :) . This should allow those of you who use Twitter to keep track of what’s happening here as well listen in on my random musings. So Follow Us!

I’ve also put up a small widget on the right panel to keep track of the discussion happening on twitter.

Anonymous Foodie Goes Mobile!

While this Blog hasn’t been active for very long it has received a generous number of views, and when that happens you start looking at new ways of interacting with the readers.

Given the fact that more and more people seem to be using their mobile phones to surf the net i felt it made sense to create a lighter, and therefore faster, view to allow people to browse through the anonymous foodie using this medium.

  • About
I've been an avid Foodie ever since i can remember, whether it was enjoying something my Grand Mother rustled up in the kitchen, eating at a five star hotel or at a corner Dhaba. This Blog was started as a means of discussing with you, the reader, my experiences at these very restaurants and watering holes across the city of Bangalore. Over time I plan to include information on alcohol and travel destinations as well.
