Global Tree Cafe

The Anonymous Foodie has been away for a while, and for that I apologize. Most of September was spent travelling which was a blast. It also gave me an idea to introduce two new sections on the Blog. You should see them up shortly ( if I get the time to actually put them up that is! )

Right, so back to the review. Sunday brunch with friends or family is a great way to start the day and while I have tried a number of the restaurants in the city I’ve found that with most of them there is a trade off with either the cost of the meal or the quality of the food. The Global Tree Cafe really surprised me by delivering on both fronts.

How to Make a Bloody Mary

The Bloody Mary has been around for ages, and while it’s not a favourite of mine( I think it has to do with tomato juice and tabasco in the cocktail )  a number of people swear by this cocktail.

Tavern at the Inn

Most drinking sessions start with a head long rush to the nearest watering hole the moment you step out of the office. This day wasn’t any different, it just involved a longer drive.

So, whats so special about tavern?  Well, the biggest thing going for this pub is its location, being on Museum Inn road ensures that you are as central as you can get. Unlike some of the other pubs it still has the charm of a good old Bangalore pub.

Herbs and Spice

After a rather long crummy day spent at home i decided to step out for some fresh air , food and drink. The latter of course taking priority over the former.

Herbs and Spice seemed a logical choice given the fact that one, I hadn’t eaten there before and two,  it always looked appealing. Though all this paled in comparison to the fact that i found parking. So there you go, the reason i ended up eating here is because i found parking!

  • About
I've been an avid Foodie ever since i can remember, whether it was enjoying something my Grand Mother rustled up in the kitchen, eating at a five star hotel or at a corner Dhaba. This Blog was started as a means of discussing with you, the reader, my experiences at these very restaurants and watering holes across the city of Bangalore. Over time I plan to include information on alcohol and travel destinations as well.
