Reviews of Pizza joints in this city would be incomplete without Pizza Hut and hence this write-up. Given the huge number of branches in the city I doubt there is a single one of you out there who haven’t eaten at or ordered from this restaurant at some point.

When it first opened in Bangalore it was the buzz of the town but over the years it has lost its sheen. Chances are this has more to do with my exposure to new and better pizza’s.

The Experience:

They have two different menu’s, one for the dine-in and the second which is the home delivery option. Unfortunately the home delivery menu doesn’t have a number of items that the dine-in menu has to offer.

To Drink:

The Dine-in option has a list of shakes, cold coffees, mocktails, iced tea, lemonades and aerated drinks. The takeaway menu has none of these ( just the regular aerated beverages ).

To Eat:

The home delivery menu doesn’t have much in the way of starters apart from a few types of garlic bread. Which, based on experience is something you should avoid ordering. This is about the pizza’s after all.

Array

The Dine-in menu on the other hand has chicken n cheese tortillas, BBQ chicken wings, soups and salads, pastas ( which are supposed to be really nice ).  In the west Pizza Hut has had a brand makeover and is now called Pasta Hut.

But its about the pizza’s, and you have a huge list of options to choose from which makes it pointless to list them all out here.

Finishing Up:

Again, if you want to get something sweet to eat you’d better head to a restaurant outlet because they don’t deliver home.

The Fine Print:

Type: Restaurant , Fast Food

Cuisine: Continental, Italian, Mexican and Indian

Meal Details: All Day Dinning

Alcohol? : No

Meal for 2: A “meal”  for 2 would set you back around Rs 600

Cards? : Yes

Gripes:

Very expensive and given that you get better pizza’s at most restaurants this is a definite pass ( unless ofcourse you’re ordering home ).

By any standard this is too much money to pay for pizza. It is much more than USA rates. Ridiculus

I agree, not to mention the pizza’s you get in the U.S are far superior to the run of the mill ones they serve at the “hut”. Though, I’m rather surprised that a lot of people still chose to come here.

I've been an avid Foodie ever since i can remember, whether it was enjoying something my Grand Mother rustled up in the kitchen, eating at a five star hotel or at a corner Dhaba. This Blog was started as a means of discussing with you, the reader, my experiences at these very restaurants and watering holes across the city of Bangalore. Over time I plan to include information on alcohol and travel destinations as well.
