Ahh, Lazeez… it does bring back fond memories of when I couldn’t afford to eat at expensive places. The good thing about this restaurant is that nothing has changed, and the bad thing is well….. nothing has changed.
Located in three small setups across two locations in the city ( Koramangala and Commercial Street ) this little shop churns out some truly heart stopping non-vegetarian dishes.
The Experience:
Right, to set things in perspective, this is a small dirty restaurant that cooks extremely unhealthy food which on certain days might satisfy you more than a meal at your favourite five star restaurant.
However fair warning, if you are finicky, place your order, grab the food and make a break for home.
To Drink:
They don’t have an awful lot to drink, water and aerated beverages is about it. I’m a little surprised that they don’t have any Indian drinks though.
To Eat:
They have a wide range of dishes to chose from however I always end up ordering their rolls, and the options here aren’t restrictive either.
- Chicken Roll
- Mutton Roll
- Chicken egg Roll
- Mutton egg Roll
- Double Chicken / Mutton Roll
and more combination’s … you can almost feel a heart attack coming on.
If you prefer rice they have both mutton and chicken biryani’s.
They also have a wide range of dry and gravy chicken and mutton dishes to chose from with a side of Indian breads like parathas, rotis, kulchas and what not.
Finishing Up:
While you would expect a wide range of Indian deserts I’m afraid you’d be disappointed if you came here as they only have Firni and Gajar Halwa.
The Fine Print:
Type : Restaurant
Cuisine: North Indian
Meal Details: Lunch and Dinner
Alcohol? : No.
Meal for 2: A “meal” for 2 would set you back around Rs 300
Cards? : Don’t think they do.
Gripes:
It’s really dirty and while it does make for a very satisfying meal if you are craving something oily for the love of god don’t take your date there!
