After spending a number of years looking for that perfect home delivered pizza i finally got a step closer with Papa John’s. While this is far from the best pizza I’ve had, it certainly is the best I’ve had delivered home.

Their service is fast and the pizza’s is served HOT, the chillies on the side is a nice touch.

The Experience:

To Drink:

As with all pizza joints they have the regular range of beverages. Don’t expect anything more.

To Eat:

They have a range of pizza’s to choose from that should satisfy both veggies and non-veggies alike. While the options are impressive i would suggest ordering a half and half pizza. That way you get to try two different pizza’s for the cost of one. Quite a decent deal if i do say so myself :)

Right, now that we’ve established they serve pizza’s lets take a closer look at what you can order.  Keep in mind that the options you have for the size are the “one” that serves well, one. The Medium, Family and Mamma Mia.

For the Vegetarians:

  • The always classy Margherita
  • Onion Blossom - Red onions and green chillies
  • Say Cheese
  • Rainbow Veggie - Green and Red peppers and Golden Corn
  • Garden Special - Mushrooms, Olives, Red Onions and Green Peppers

For the Non-Vegetarians:

  • Chicken Barbecue
  • Pepperoni Pizza
  • Little Italy
  • Mexican Ole’

There are a number of “indianized” pizza’s if you prefer.

There are a number of starters and salads you can choose from.

  • Breadsticks
  • Potato Wedges
  • Onion Rings
  • Chicken Strips

The salads:

  • Garden Salad
  • Island Green Salad
  • Grilled Chicken Salad
  • Papa’s Country Salad

Finishing Up:

The only thing you can order if you have a sweet tooth is the Freshly baked berry pie. This is by far one of the worst deserts I’ve ever had. Its essential a pizza base with some berries tossed in , topped off with some sweetened cream. Avoid at all costs!

The Fine Print:

Cuisine: Continental and Italian

Meal Details: Lunch and Dinner

Meal for 2: A “meal”  for 2 would set you back around Rs 600

Gripes:

This is primarily for takeaway and home delivery, its pizza after all.

Thanks foodie… ordered from your list of suggestions :)

Waiting for the food to come and impress just as it has impressed you … let’s wait and watch…

Well, impress would be a rather strong word to describe this pizza joint. The pizza’s are better than what I’m generally used to when I order home. However like i mentioned they are far from the best pizza’s I’ve had in the city.

Hope you enjoy your meal!! and come back for more I have a whole bunch of restaurants coming up for review.

Should have read this before ordering the very berry pie…I concur with you when you say the worst dessert you have had…same here. The bloody thing is a pizza with caramelized cornflakes, some strawberry sauce and cream…yuck
Even their brownie was awful…smelled as if it has not been baked enough…smelled of wet flour…Avoid desserts. The pizzas were the best I have had in a pizza chain…

I didn’t know they started serving brownies as well, then again its been a while since I’ve placed an order. Lets hope the quality of their pizza’s haven’t gone down.

I've been an avid Foodie ever since i can remember, whether it was enjoying something my Grand Mother rustled up in the kitchen, eating at a five star hotel or at a corner Dhaba. This Blog was started as a means of discussing with you, the reader, my experiences at these very restaurants and watering holes across the city of Bangalore. Over time I plan to include information on alcohol and travel destinations as well.
