This is my second review of Boca Grande, while the first covered the traditional menu this one covers the Buffet they have on the weekends.
I’ve always liked digging into a sumptuous breakfast over the weekend and while Bangalore does have a wide range of places you can do that at there are few that serve the good old fashioned continental breakfast at a reasonable price.
The Breakfast buffet is served only on the weekends between 9:30 and 12:00. The place does get a little full on Sunday if you get there late but it does make for a nice way to begin your day.
The Experience:
You will need to make your way into the restaurant and upstairs to get at the food. I don’t think the rest of the space downstairs is utilized for the breakfast.
The upstairs does have enough seating but for a buffet you really do need a table at a reasonable height, the traditional low seating that you are used to at a cafe does become a bit of a hindrance.
The last time i went there they had 5 “hot” items, chicken ham , cheese rolled chicken, sauteed veggies, baked beans and fried potatoes in the shape of mushrooms that were extremely interesting to look at.
I was a little upset when i realized there weren’t any sausages or bacon, and from what i can gather they generally have 2 non-veg dishes that they rotate through.

The omlette station was my favourite with a nice assortment of goodies you could toss in ( eggs made to order ) . The range of options were reasonably vast with chicken, sundried tomatoes, olives, pickles, cheese , mushrooms available apart from the standard omlette fillings.
[flickr]photo:3278577426[/flickr]The selection of breads ( served with butter and jam ) are just as nice with the more healthier options ( brown bread ) for those of you stay away from the white.
The orange and grape juices were decent, but not something that you would really enjoy if you like fresh juices. I preferred the grape to the orange.
Fresh waffles are prepared if you like them, with chocolate or blueberry sauce ( which was a little too sweet for my liking ) . Definitely a nice way to end a breakfast however. There is also a selection of freshly cut fruits as well.

This is definitely the most reasonably prices continental breakfast buffet that I’ve seen in a long time, so i’d advise you to make your way down there and grab a plate.
