The new Barista is well the same as the old Barista, the only difference is the price and the variety of food they serve. There seems to be a steady shift away from being “just a cafe” to being a full fledged restaurant.
There is no doubt that their coffee’s are still some of the best in town though their iced teas still leave a lot to be desired. Their portions are ridiculously small for the price they charge
The Experience:
Apart from the food the ambience isn’t that great to either, the music is either too loud or too soft and in some cases absent all together. The quality of service isn’t bad, and the waiters are rather polite.
They have a rather nice range of coffee’s ( both cold and hot ) that we’ve come to expect from Barista outlets and some new fancy ones that i haven’t seen before.
My biggest issue is of course with the food, the quality is rather decent but their pricing is ridiculously high.
All in all, a place i would definitely avoid visiting unless you are in the mood for coffee.

Type: Cafe
Cuisine: Snacks
Meal Details: All day
Alcohol?: No
Meal for 2: A “meal” for 2 would set you back around Rs600 – Rs 800 ( way to expensive for a cafe )
Cards? : Yes
Gripes:
My biggest gripe about the place is the fact that it is extremely overpriced for a cafe.

80 Ft. Road, First Block, Koramangala, Bangalore

Prices soared up in the new Barista as they are force fitting the outlet as their elite / up mkt joint.
Of course it could be the higher rent rates customers are being squeezed for ‘cos their service could leave you disappointed at times, (barring a few good staff) some of their staff members are in a race to provide their name along with feedback form (without even being asked for) …… and it just totally puts you off …
stay away from anything with variations such as “passion fruit iced tea” its sugary beyond belief and don’t even bother asking them to change it , you will end up getting the same thing
